Our barrel sauna is finished in the finest detail and is made with great craftsmanship in Estonia. The barrel sauna has a large diameter which creates a large luxury inside with 2 bank levels. The basic version has 4 banks, 2 are on the left side and 2 on the right. The heater is located at the back of the sauna. The door is made of wood with long narrow glass.
The classic barrel sauna is made of Thermo wood.
Thermo wood: The thermo wood we use to make our barrelssaunas comes from a pine tree from the North Pole. The pine grows very slowly due to the large temperature changes on the North Pole. The wood is steamed at 400°, making it much less susceptible to absorption of moisture and other weather conditions. The heating of the wood is done just by steam, no chemicals are used. This makes thermo wood very ecological and particularly suitable as an outside wood. There is little contraction or expansion.
