Keeping the chlorine level of your pool on the right level is best done with the long-acting chlorine tablets from BSI. They work for about 2 weeks and are perfectly suitable for regular maintenance of your pool. The chlorine level of your pool should be between 1 and 2 ppm, you can test this with the Test Kit or Test Strips.
After your pool has been treated with fast-acting chlorine and made ready for use, you will naturally want to maintain it. BSI's long-acting chlorine tablets ensure that the water is continuously chlorinated, so that your pool is constantly disinfected. Chlorine is an algaecide and bactericide that keeps your pool ready for use. For good water disinfection and the right chlorine level (1-2 ppm), you can use long-acting chlorine tablets every 2 weeks or add fast-acting chlorine (granulate) every 2 days. This chlorine treatment does not affect the pH value and is lime-free.
Tip: Use the chlorine tablets with a chlorine float!
Is the use of chlorine safe?
Chlorine products are absolutely safe, however you must use the correct and normal dosage of the product. After all, chlorine is also used in our tap water, which is drinkable. The BSI chlorine products are of the highest purity and are tested and approved by the government, which you can recognise by the blue lid.
