Cold stones are often used at the end of a hot stone treatment. To be able to specifically bring the refreshing cooling effect of the marble stones to certain problem areas, it is sometimes not enough to just hang on. Especially on the forehead and face area (where laying on larger stones is rather problematic) the marble stones provide cooling.
